Buying a 30-year-old car from 8,000 km away
You are making a $40,000 decision on a car you cannot see, described in a language you cannot read, through an agent you have never met. Here is where that usually goes wrong, and what we do about it.
The auction sheet arrives in Japanese
A photo of a form covered in handwritten codes. Most buyers forward it to a stranger online and hope the reply is accurate.
We publish the grade, translated
Overall grade, interior grade, repair history and every damage code, in English, on the listing itself. Not on request.
Fees appear late and vary wildly
Agent commission, inspection, inland transport, shipping, compliance. The number you were quoted is rarely the number you pay.
You pay the seller directly
No money moves through this site. You deal with the broker or dealer on their terms, and see their pricing without a layer in between.
Eligibility is guesswork
The 25-year rule, SEVS, and state registration each have different tests. Getting one wrong means a car that cannot be driven.
Two routes, marked clearly
Every car is labelled either import order through an Australian broker, or already compliant and registered in Adelaide.

We are building our first listings with partner brokers and Adelaide dealers now. These are examples of how each car will be presented.
